Prepress Software :: RE: Way to export multipage ID doc into single pages?
Just curious, are you wanting to export single pages so different people could work on different sections of the file? If so you might look into using VersionCue, I've never used it, never seemed to have a reason to, but it might be useful for your situation. good luck - Read More at This Link..

Since i think you designed the job, wouldn't it be better to use a percentage of a color, rather than using 100% of a color and have the program add mask, or what ever to make the color lighter. Transparencies normally cause problems in print, RIPS do not always handle them correctly. I recommend you avoid using them for print design. When you use a percentage of a color, you are being straight forward. A Transparency says Make it 100 percent color but not really. - Read More at This Link..

</b></i> Don't have one as yet. The computer is being built. Was going to use Windows Server 2003 or XP, but the scsi card that prepress is recommending does not seem to have drivers for those systems, although, they also recommended those systems. I am going to go with the Panther RIP, mostly for the price. I am familiar with it ( i have 2 older versions), and it should do fine for 5 years or so. We do not do anything real complicated. So far I have been able to run most everything from my old panther that is using a very old mac rip (level 2). - Read More at This Link..

I can tell you from personal experience is that you should send out a flyer to the parents of the kids, and find out what each of them does for a living. Sometimes you get lucky. If not, then it is worth the little time and effort it took. Another way is to talk to a small to mid-sized printer and see if they will exchange personal money for company money. Often a church will look to get something for free. If you give them a personal check, get the tax write off, and have them cut a check back to the printer for the same amount. Its not free, but if you need a tax write-off, it helps - Read More at This Link..

We upgraded Preps to 5.x some time ago, but are only now getting around to looking at some of the new features. Most interesting are the "Smart Marks". Considering this, we are looking to make up some "Master Templates" for duplicating when creating new jobs. The different ways to organize these seems overwhelming, and we were hoping that some of you would be willing share your current structure, and how they are working for you. - Read More at This Link..

To go back to the original question. What version of ColorTuner are you running? The latest Release version 5.4.1 should support all transparency elements of CS3. Also CGS is using their own rip engine. Which mostly is a good thing since it enables them to make necessary bug fixing/new features by them selves and usually very fast, but on the other hand it has a psychological efect on people while not beeing one of the major brands of rips. - Read More at This Link..
