Please read my reply in the other thread regarding the color of paint for your walls. You have to buy paint anyway, why not buy paint that is exactly what you need for an environment that is conducive to achieve predictable color? The paint I am recommending is a very light gray and could be considered an "off white". Think of it as an "off white" that does not have a color cast. There are so many variables regarding color and the more of them you eliminate, the more predictable your color will be.
