The best thing to do is get a good icc profile, one that best represents the printing conditions/stock requirements for you job. Your printer might be able to advice you on this. The Coated and Uncoated FOGRA ISO standard iccs that install with Creative Suite software are pretty good for general offset jobs. However if you're looking for Newspaper profiles, you might want to download these from www.ifra.com. A good way to check the CMYK breakdown for these profiles is to load the profiel as the CMYK workspace in photoshop and create an RGB file and fill it with R=0 G=0 and B=0, then use the Info Panel ... - Read More at This Link..
