</b></i> Don't have one as yet. The computer is being built. Was going to use Windows Server 2003 or XP, but the scsi card that prepress is recommending does not seem to have drivers for those systems, although, they also recommended those systems. I am going to go with the Panther RIP, mostly for the price. I am familiar with it ( i have 2 older versions), and it should do fine for 5 years or so. We do not do anything real complicated. So far I have been able to run most everything from my old panther that is using a very old mac rip (level 2). - Read More at This Link..

I can tell you from personal experience is that you should send out a flyer to the parents of the kids, and find out what each of them does for a living. Sometimes you get lucky. If not, then it is worth the little time and effort it took. Another way is to talk to a small to mid-sized printer and see if they will exchange personal money for company money. Often a church will look to get something for free. If you give them a personal check, get the tax write off, and have them cut a check back to the printer for the same amount. Its not free, but if you need a tax write-off, it helps - Read More at This Link..

To go back to the original question. What version of ColorTuner are you running? The latest Release version 5.4.1 should support all transparency elements of CS3. Also CGS is using their own rip engine. Which mostly is a good thing since it enables them to make necessary bug fixing/new features by them selves and usually very fast, but on the other hand it has a psychological efect on people while not beeing one of the major brands of rips. - Read More at This Link..

Because it mayn't exceed 1MB for a single email. The email size is also restricted by the size of email box for registered emails. You can use web space for transferring 10MB files. For example, needing a 10MB files to transfer to others. The operations are as follows: to put a large file named xyz.exe into a website's catalogue(such as http://www.abcd.com/123). Desktop Publishing :: Monitor Calibration Target for Prepress
I'm using Spyder2 Pro colorimeter on DELL 2007WFP (S-IPS panel) monitor and was trying to pinpoint the best calibration target for my needs. Currently I work on various magazines and ATM I use 6500K 2.2 gamma, black/white point 0.20-100cd/m2. The software itself suggests 5000K 2.2 with 85-100cd/m2 for Prepress work while 6500K 2.2 and 120cd/m2 for Photo editing. So basically my question is: Whats the best cal target for page layout / photo editing intended for conventional printing? Most of the time no one can mark anything up 200%, much less 20%. As for insurance, a designer is only responsible to the proofing stage. Once a proof is made, it is the final customer that should sign off on the piece. Once signed, its the printers responsibility to match the proofs. If a printer sees a problem on press, usually they make a decision as to pull a job, or have someone come in and get a press check - Read More at This Link..

No, when a job strikes problems and requires a re-print (i.e. the client rejects it). For example, I had a job recently where a pic file slipped through that had been enlarged nearly 200% by accident. It wasn't picked up at proof stage but the client noticed it when the job was printed. If they'd rejected the job and demanded a reprint, I would have had to pay for that, as it was essentially my fault. Luckily they didn't. Another colleague of mine produced and printed an Annual Report for a client, and some of the head shots were later decided to be 'too green' by the client. The client rejected it, and the printer sa... - Read More at This Link..
